Clarification on Misleading Information in the Bar Council Election

It has come to our attention that certain irresponsible parties are attempting to sow discord among candidates in the Bar Council election by spreading false and divisive information.

A fabricated list has labeled one group of candidates as the "Star Group," while another group, including us, has been inaccurately classified as the so-called "Ultra Malays Group."

We categorically deny any involvement in the creation or distribution of this misleading list. Furthermore, we have no association whatsoever with the fictitious entity known as "Badan Bertindak Profesional Muslim," which is allegedly responsible for circulating this false narrative.

We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the principles of fairness and professionalism. We urge voters to make their decisions based solely on the qualifications, integrity, and capabilities of the candidates, rather than being swayed by baseless claims or racial rhetoric.

Choosing not to vote for candidates based on such fabricated lists only serves the agenda of those attempting to manipulate and divide us. This psychological warfare undermines the integrity of our beloved institution, eroding its foundations over time.

Let us stand united in rejecting these tactics and uphold the values that define us.

Sincerely,
